Meetings: The slowest and most painful torture ever

Hello everyone,
Read the following in square brackets very slowing and imagine a Mission Impossible sound track playing on the background to get the dramatically sense of what I am about to describe

[Walk to the kitchen
Take out the knife
Walk back to the room
Grab W (name withheld for privacy purposes, I still want my job)
...................................
Ok enough of that

A suicide bomber enters the meeting room
Opens his jacket
Lifts his hand about to press a button on what looks like a phone
..........................................
Ok enough of that

I jump out of my sit
Grab the next person sitting to me
By the neck and try to not let go
........................................]

Those were just a few of the very disturbing thoughts which warm their way into my head today.  You may wonder why.
I was in the most boring meeting of my life that lasted for 2 hours.  I had to physically pinch myself every 2 minutes so I do not snore. Somehow I understand why people cut themselves because I wanted to do that today (no kidding). I have never been one to engage a long boring conversation. I will find an excuse to get of it as fast as possible. Having a meeting this long and these boring was pure torture.

I mean who spends 30 minutes describing where the thousand indicator should be placed when writing numbers?
Who?
Did I mention that every single person siting in that room has an Engineering degree? To make matters worse people (Yes real life human beings that should know better) actually asked questions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What can you possibly ask? I've just thought of it for 10 seconds and nothing pops into mind.

Just when I think the meeting is coming to an end, the moderator asks "Does anybody have anything to add?" , and to my surprise people had 'serious' issues to discuss. I am there thinking to myself is it just me or are other people finding these things entertaining. I find my research boring but at that point I missed it and took back every nasty little thing I've ever said or thought about it.

I am happy I survived that torture of a meeting, I wonder if I can contact the makers of "I shouldn't be alive" whether they will consider doing my story.
